Jacob's Well Natural Area is currently open to the public for swimming and hiking. Swimming is permitted by online reservation only. Hiking at Jacobs Well Natural Area is first come first serve and will be limited to enforce a safe capacity in the park. Recommended hiking hours are 8am-10am. No swimming October - April. We ask that you please help us keep the area healthy and happy by refraining from swimming during the restoration period and by following all park rules during your visit. There is no fee or reservation needed to enter the natural area. A fee is only required if you are swimming in Jacob's Well (by reservation only) during the summer. Pets are not allowed at the park.
Jacobs Well is the source of Cypress Creek, which was the reason Wimberley was founded. It is an incredibly beautiful area with a series of hiking trails.

A nice drive from Blanco to Wimberley or San Marcos. The first time i saw it, it took my breath away, but over the last twenty or so years, i forget to be mesmerized by it sometimes. There's just a couple of miles that make it worthwhile and there's a rest area at the most scenic part overlooking the valley.

We came here just to look for boots!! All over this quaint city are these high painted boots!! If you go to visitor center you will find a map with all boots mark on it!! Many boots you can park in one location and then see/hunt several. Others you must drive to find them. We had a great day and after we found about 1/2 the boots we did a little window shopping which was super fun. I would suggest you visit this little Texas town for some fun boot fun!! Art Rocks!
