What hospitable, fun and informative folks! I’m in my 30s, but finally getting a chance to genuinely pursue my interest in magick, and related arts/crafts. On a spontaneous visit to Salem this weekend, I decided to visit The Witchery and try their crafting offerings. Do call ahead and make sure you can book your time! Luckily they had the last spot before closing when I called. I was warmly greeted by name on arrival, and personally oriented to the crafting options and materials by Gret, one of the owners. When I explained what I was interested in and some of my thoughts on the intentions I wanted to incorporate into my project, Gret personally did some research using books and internet to help me find just the right materials to energetically realize my piece (a mini-broom). In fact, when we found that bay leaves might make a good addition, she waited for me to go next door and buy some, because she was out! She really seemed to care that I be able to make an authentic piece that I could be proud of. It was fun too because she really likes to learn new things, and so we got to enjoy that thrill together as we researched. It was like I had a friendly, genuine mentor for the session- not just some cashier waiting for me to glue up something and pay for it. So if you’re looking for a more personal, mindful, engaging touch to your visit to Salem, head over and make some arts and crafts at The Witchery!

Since 1992, History Alive has been creating original theatre, film and events about local history. We focus on audience-interactive formats to make fun, educational and memorable experiences.
As a spiritual/witchy person I never wanted to go to Salem. The commercialization of a tragedy and people dressed as witches to give readings just feels so inauthentic. I had a day in Salem and which I visited the shops, sure, I went to be inremembrance to the victims of mass-hysteria. I visited the memorial which was lovely and was so happy to find out about this show. I love that there are groups trying to remind people of what occurred in Salem - if we can remember it, we can prevent ourselves from falling victim to this hysteria in the future.

The Haunted Dinner Theater combines Salem's most creative interactive performance with an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet dinner in the library of the iconic Hawthorne Hotel. Sit back and let our actors entertain you tableside with an interactive mystery with music, magic and special effects in the heart of Salem, MA.
The Bewitched dinner theater was a lot of fun for my entire group which included a 10 and 12 year old. We all enjoyed watching and listening to the cast and trying to figure out who we thought the killer was. The cast members were very entertaining even between skits and the music entertainment was a lot of fun too with sing-a-long songs from The Adams Family, The Munsters, Monster Mash and so on. The buffet also had a pretty good selection of foods. We would definitely attend another one.
