Strathaven Airfield is a traditional, family-friendly, three-runway grass airfield. We are home to more than 30 aircraft and microlights and a flying school. You may recognise the airfield manager's house from Grand Designs! Please come and visit us. We have self-service tea and coffee and picnic tables should you wish to sit outside on a good day and watch the aircraft.
I was given a voucher from my wife for my 50th present for an extended flight ( 80 mins). Due to Covid it was arranged 2weeks after the company had set back. I honestly can’t disregard in any way the professionally shown by Colin as he arranged and explained the day. As we arrived Graham the pilot was basically a friend and went out of his way as I asked many times to fly over family members houses. If thinking this as a voucher/ present then buy it. Yes may be a bit more expensive but you get the personal touch. I flew over my favourite football stadiums but more importantly flew over and took over the main homes in my family. Cheers Guys!

Microlight Scotland is west and central Scotland's only microlight school. We offer great gift vouchers for those looking for an amazing flying experience for a special occasion, as well as training all the way through to the UK National Private Pilot's Licence. Or just come and sit at our picnic tables and watch!

Great walk to the falls and around the river, thoroughly enjoyed by children and adults alike. The path can get slippy due to roots so important to take care. Beautiful and peaceful.

The first time I played this golf course was about forty years ago. I have lived in central British Columbia for many years but I travel back to Scotland regularly visiting family and friends in East Kilbride. What a delight it was last September to play Strathaven Golf course again. The course is beautifully laid out and an excellent challenge and it was in excellent condition. My nephew and I were made most welcome at the golf course. I shall make another journey back to Bonnie Scotland next September and I'll look forward once again to playing this very fine golf course.
