Rome is the largest city in and the county seat of Floyd County, Georgia, United States. Located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, it is the principal city of the Rome, Georgia, Metropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses all of Floyd County. At the 2010 census, the city had a population of 36,303. It is the largest city in Northwest Georgia and the 19th largest city in the state.

Rome Tennis Center at Berry College (RTCBC) opened in 2016 and features 51-courts on a 30 acre site. The site is comprised of USTA standard, asphalt tennis courts, six NCAA regulation courts, six indoor courts and three center courts for tournament and collegiate play. All courts have lighting and access to shade structures. The entire terraced design is ADA accessible, does not have steps, and has wider entry ways to accommodate sport chairs for wheelchair tennis. The lodge-like clubhouse is a focal point of the facility. The tennis porch overlooks “main event” courts and NCAA-regulation courts. Top Spin Terrace provides excellent views of the championships courts as well an encompassing view of the facility and the surrounding landscape. The indoor facility holds six indoor hard courts available for play. The 51,063 square foot facility is conditioned for play to stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
