A magical journey in horse drawn sleighs into the silent Tatra Mountains. We loved the tinkling bells, flaming torches and festive vibe. People sang as they passed us and we even saw some hikers coming down the mountain path. After our sleigh ride, our bus fetched us and took us to a venue close by, where a group of Highlander men met us with Gluhwein, hot broth and sausages with toppings. The best part was the entertainment provided by the highlanders on their instruments. The main Highlander divided us into two groups and we had to drink a local beverage (alcoholic) off a wooden ski. This became a giggling competition and our Highlander was very funny.,we danced around the bonfire and sang songs. Loved this very much and can highly recommend it.
