Part of the Maltese archipelago, Gozo is the second-largest of the seven-island chain and basks in the Mediterranean off the coast of Sicily. More rural than its sister island, Malta, Gozo has a population of 31,000. Home to some of the oldest religious structures in the world, the fascinating Ggantija temples, the island offers dramatic orange-red sands and perfect snorkeling waters at striking Ramla Bay. Rickety buses ply Gozo's roads, making getting about the island an exciting component of your trip.

This review is based more on the area. I am a diver and travel here for 30 days of diving every year (Lucky me!!) This is an area where diving is easy so is often a check out dive. The views are stunning. Lots of locals swim around here as its quite sheltered. (Be careful of stinging jelly fish however) A couple of cafes nearby but the sort of shack on the road is ace for basics. I would highly recommend Gozo anyway but this area too is nice

We hired a boat for 4 adults and two young children for self drive. We had the most amazing day, we went round the island, jumping into the sea whenever we needed to cool down. We explored caves and enjoyed every minute. Service was fantastic, the life jackets for the children were great and they even supplied masks and snorkels! Can’t recommend enough.

This was one of my favourite places in Gozo and in entire Malta. Try to be here early in the morning, before 9 o'clock, and you will have the entire place for you. Beautiful, calm water, shadow and sun. After some time, people started to appear and it became crowded, because it is a very small beach. Worth the visit.
