Are there more flamingos than people on Bonaire? It's possible, and it's part of this unspoiled island's appeal. Bring your binoculars and your scuba gear to make the most of Bonaire's natural charms: more than 200 different species of birds live here, and the island itself draws divers from around the world to its reef-lined coast, a National Maritime Park.

Coco Beach Bonaire offers a wide range of activities, including beach volleyball, sun loungers and other beach and swimming sports. As Coco Beach is located by dive sites such as 'Front Porch' we also facilitate snorkelling and diving. From our bar you can relax with amazing cocktails and other drinks whilst listening to one of our live bands or DJ's.
Rather than a ship excursion, we took a short, cheap taxi ride to Coco Beach. We saw a few of the ship's crew there so we were optimistic. There was a well stocked bar with delicious looking and generous sandwich plates. Prices were on the high reasonable side especially with the portion size. The bar overlooks the quiet beach, with comfortable stools at the bar, and a few high tables with uncomfortable blocks of wood for stools in the open air restaurant. The day we were there, there was only one ship in port so there was lots of room in the bar to sit where you wanted. The music was upbeat and just the right volume. Servers were friendly and relaxed. The beach was lovely white sand and you could find sea glass quite readily. It felt almost secluded. There were ample and comfortable beach chairs to rent for the day, some with shade. The snorkelling was amazing. Just the right depth for us with lots of parrot fish, sergeant majors and tiny neons. The beach had a floating pier so you could walk to the end and enter the water using the ladder, in deep water rather than walking out through the rocks. After your snorkel, there were showers on the outside wall of the public washrooms to wash off the salt. Taxis were waiting to take people back to port for a nominal amount. I will definitely be back. This was a lovely spot to enjoy the crystal clear waters of Bonaire.
