We took most of the North Trail and then we went to Ennis. We then took in the West Trail. This was our second time. Last time we took the North Trail and only part of the West. As for North-the loop by the Winery on Sugar Ridge is the best section. We saw a great field along Andrews Road as well. It is all good-just Sugar Ridge is the best-IMHO. On the West Trail Meadow View Nature Area is a real gem. Last year we went to Bluebonnet Park and it was great. This year/April 9-it had not developed as before-it may be better later in the season. Kachina Prairie is kept natural. It is an easy 1/2 mile walk and a good way to stretch legs. This is a must do.

I suggest you get the app "Ennis yall" it will help you navagate all the areas where blue bonnets are most abundant, You will want to also go to Bluebonnet Park. Nice picknic area with a small lake and beautiful fields of bluebonnets for picture taking.
