Glass By Design specialises in handmade stained and fused glass. There is an onsite studio so you are able to see the artworks being made and a progressive programme of beginner's day courses available for both Stained and Fused Glass. There is also a good range of sheet glass, tools and materials to buy. The studio is complimented by a Retail Art Gallery featuring not only stained and fused glass, but a range of handmade unique work by Makers from South and West Wales. The Gallery features slate, ceramics, wood, felt, paper and wire work. Makers can be commissioned to make one off bespoke pieces.
I attended a stained glass workshop today taught by Angelina! I absolutely loved it and would highly recommend to others! The environment was very safe in our separate cubicles and all guidelines were adhered to in a professional but friendly manner. Well worth the price and you having something beautiful to show at the end of the day! Can’t wait to book another class soon.. Grace x

SWAM is a new unique Aviation museum based in South Wales near the former RAF St Athan. We allow visitors to get up and personal with our aircraft and displays, with different aircraft being open. We are only currently open at weekends and bank holidays, and while we have free parking, there is a suggested donation for adults of £5. We have a cafe and a shop with there is limited disabled access.
My wife & I visited today, we pulled into a busy car park which was lovely to see on the day storm Jorge arrived. The place is amazing, lots to see, interact with and fulfill childhood dreams ( I sat in a phantom cockpit)! There is so much more than aircraft, items from the 2nd World War in 1 room, jet engines dotted about & a great crowd of knowledgeable volunteers who are really enthusiastic. I will be going again & am counting down the days.

Established in 1978, Ffotogallery is the national development agency for photography and lens-based media in Wales. Our view is outward looking, with an exhibition programme featuring artists from Wales and the rest of the world. Ffotogallery seeks to widen its impact and influence through touring exhibitions, collaborations with other organisations and galleries, print and online publishing and an extensive education and outreach programme. Ffotogallery has an active policy of commissioning new work which, in particular, provides a vital support system to photographers in Wales, forms an ongoing record of culture in Wales, and reflects prevailing attitudes and developments in photography more generally. Ffotogallery is a not for profit company limited by guarantee and a registered charity, in receipt of annual funding from the Arts Council of Wales and Cardiff City Council.
