Not a hard climb as there are concrete steps and plenty of places to stop. It’s about 130m from the car park. The walk around the volcano rim is spectacular with amazing views. It’s a bit dangerous in parts with loose gravel and the path is sometimes close to the cliff edge.

From the second we stepped out of our car, we four knew that we were in for a fabulous stay. Breathtaking views, Sunday roast on the menu, and a warm welcome from reception staff. Vicki and Doug are exceptional intelligent extremely knowledgeable hosts and are happy to impart their knowledge to their guests. The next three days were some of the most enjoyable days I have experienced on holiday... The Ridge Top 4WD Tour, Arkaroola flight, and Acacia Ridge walk are must do’s ????????????✔️ Accommodation- well appointed. Dining experience- great food and wine - with Sunday roast aged beef steak and beef parmigiana a great end to ea day. Staff - Jo Lizzie Tania Beatrice Patrick Andrew Syd ( and those I have forgotten to name) - all fabulous friendly happy welcoming and knowledgeable.Thank you to u all. And of course - a special thank you to Doug and Vicki - for your warmth your passion and your knowledge- we Sth Australians are so lucky to have you. ❤️ Mary

Fantastic walk to the top for this 66yr old. Only spot you will really see Turtle Rock too. Great signage on the way up and down. So worth the effort, the views of the surrounding farmland are spectacular and am glad I did it.
