Invercargill Cenotaph

Visited on Wednesday 2nd May. A fitting memorial to those who died in the Great World Wars. Spend a few moments there to reflect on the sacrifice they made for us.

Quintin Mackinnon Monument

Reviewed By KazSydAustralia - Sydney, Australia

An excellent statue to honour a Scottish/NZ pioneer explorer. Located in an easily accessible area along the Te Anau terrace. Just metres from the Fiordland Visitor Information Centre. His pioneering exploratory effort did much to open up the spectacularly beautiful area, previously inaccessible. He lost his life doing what he did best. Said to have drowned exploring/crossing Lake Te Anau.
