We stayed here as part of an pre-excusion to the Galapagos and kept repeating that we couldn't believe that this wasn't the main event - this was outstanding from every perspective. The way here from Quito is a bit of a trek and the last part I over some rough road, but it is beyond worth it. The staff greet you at the van, whisking bags to your room while you are greeted with a cool juice drink. The rooms are lovely - one entire wall is window into the forest and the building is designed so that you don't need to close the curtains at all. Comfortable bed, excellent linens, etc. The restaurant was equal to any great place we've dined st with a particularly attentive and lovely wait staff. The food was out of this world. Every meal. And the expeditions! You are assigned to a guide whose sole purpose is to help you do and see any and all things that interest you. Hiking through a river and swimming at a pool at the base of a waterfall, riding an aerial bike 500 feet above the forest floor, seeing birds and animals and butterflies and flowers - just enjoying a place of exquisite natural beauty. This is a gem.

Had a fantastic stay at Piripe. We felt lucky to experience Luis's passion for the beauty and bounty found at Piripe. Don't miss the waterfall hike! You'll see some gorgeous views of the valley and the waterfall water is completely refreshing! Through Luis, Christian picked us at the airport. Christian was a safe and careful driver. We had to travel late at night and we couldn't have asked for a better driver. I didn't find some meals to match what I imagined from their website description, but I know others liked the food. Don't hesitate to reserve!
