Great motel

We loved our stay. The room was large and clean. Homemade muffins, juice and coffee every morning in the office. We were there Memorial Day weekend with 2 other couples. The outdoor pool area hadn’t opened yet but was clean and a good size. The staff was very friendly. Definitely would go back!

At first glance the room was okay. It appeared clean. The paint seemed fairly new and the bedding looked pretty good. The bathroom was small but efficient. There was no closed but there was a shelf and a place to hang any clothing. In the bathroom I noticed there were tiny ants. Not a lot of ants to be a real bother. I did notice that the bedding, pillows and towels all had the same smell to them. It wasn't a pleasant smell but nonetheless there was a smell to them that made me feel like they weren't clean. When I went to use the blow dryer in the bathroom the mount fell off the wall and when I turned it on there was a burning smell. No drying my hair that day. We got to the continental breakfast late. There was no orange juice, 1 muffin and some bagels left. If we got there earlier there would have been an assortment of bagels, muffins and juice. The coffee was okay. I only staff I saw was the front desk when we checked in and a different front desk when we checked out. The pool looked really nice and the pool area was clean. This motel is conveniently located in the lower Cape area. This motel was not a no smoking but it did have no smoking rooms. The motel has 2 washers and dryers but one set wasn't working. Parking was difficult. We got back to the motel late, around 9 pm, and got one of the last few spots. They did accommodate the request of a ground floor, non smoking room. With a little more work and a few changes I would give a higher rating. Secure the blow dryers, test to see if working properly and changing the laundry detergent to something that smelled clean and not like something was burning.

A cute remodelled motel (excet for bathrooms). Pros...Clean, comfortable, close to Rock Harbor, Orleans center, beaches, etc. Nice breakfast choice of coffee, bagels, muffins, cereal, toast, juices. It is quiet even for being on 6A, comfortable beds...love the showerhead, it's like taking a steam bath! Cons...no microwave in rooms and bathrooms need a remodel...

A Beautiful January Getaway!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Nauset Beach Inn in Orleans, MA this past January for a long, birthday weekend. We'd heard about this lovely Inn on a radio program we often listen to and we were excited to book a stay. Though it was winter, our room was wonderfully cozy with a gas fireplace to warm things up. The rooms are heated, and furnished with comfortable beds and rocking chairs. We had a huge picture window with a breathtaking view of the ocean and beach beyond. We also had an outdoor patio and fire pit, which was lit for us in the afternoons by the owner himself, with whom we enjoyed a fireside chat. It was such a relaxing visit and I'm sure we'll be booking another stay at the lovely Nauset Beach Inn.
