Nakhchivan isn't exactly a tourist hotspot and this is probably reflected by your choice of only two hotels in Nakhchivan City, with this being one of them. The hotel is ok - it's a nice place to sleep and a good base for exploring the city and the wider exclave. Probably wouldn't call it a 5-star - it's probably more of a 3-star with some extra amenities like a very nice hammam. Pros: - Location was great - centrally located and walking distance to all the points of interest in Nakchivan City. - View: had a fantastic view from the room of Ilandag (the mountain where Noah's Ark supposedly landed) - the hotel is the tallest building in the city. Breakfast is on the top floor and has sweeping views across the whole city. - Breakfast was decent - hot food selection was limited to mostly scrambled and fried eggs, with either sausages or french toast pieces. Cold food selection was more varied with lots of Nakhchivani cheeses and meats to pick from, with delicious local honey and cream to go along. Would have been nice for the bread to have been warmed up. - There is one English-speaking staff member on reception who was generally quite helpful albeit he was always very busy! Cons: - The bathroom in the room is very small and a bit dim. Shower itself is a decent size and the water pressure and temperature is good. There wasn't a spare roll of toilet paper so if you use it all then you are on your own, unless you can speak Azerbaijani or Turkish to request for a new roll. - Room was ok albeit a bit dated. - Wifi was not great - to get stronger signal one would need to stand under the router in the common area/hallway outside your room.

Spent three nights in Naxchivan as part of an Azerbaijan backpacking trip. Really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The rooms are a bit worn down, but clean and and a strong, hot shower. The beds were comfy and the breakfast good. The hotel’s location is within walking distance from all major sights. The friendly manager speaks English and helped me with an itinerary in Naxchivan. He also arranged an affordable private driver. I visited Alinja fortress (don’t miss this), Duzdag, Garabaghlar, Batubat lake, and Ordubat. Would highly recommend staying here :) feel free to send me a message if you have questions on travels in Nakchivan!

Odalar büyük , hızlı bir check in ile otele giriş yaptık . Şehir merkezine yürüme 15 dakika . Temiz ve yeni bir otel . Odalar soğuk hava da sıcak idi üşümedik . Kahvaltısı iyi idi . Akşam yemeklerini otelin lokantasında yedik yemekler güzel .

Not only I want to say “never go to this hotel” but also I want to ask people “do not think to this hotel”! They claim 5star hotel while they are not even 3 stars hotel. The quality of foods, especially lunch, is tribble and you have no other choice because you are far from city and there is no shop and restaurants nearby. The pool is simple pool with 3 slide and atmosphere of pool is not suitable for women and families. No one if staffs knows english. I tried to ask my questions by google translate but I was unsuccessful. I booked and paid for a 3 bed room but They gave me very small room with 2 beds and for my 9 years old sun just gave a mattress without a bed!!
