Incredibly peaceful.
Reviewed By Pauline MPeaceful, quiet hotel in the grounds of the 17th century Schloss Dyck castle. Elegantly designed rooms, which were perfectly clean and comfortable. Might be the best bed and linen I've ever experienced. The castle is situated in landscaped gardens perfect to spend a day or two exploring. Staff were friendly, breakfast was very nice also.

Reviewed By Reinhard1954Von der anderen Rheinseite kommend haben wir eine Radtour linksrheinisch unternommen. Bei der Fahrt in Richtung Schloss Dyck haben wir den Hinweis zum Kloster gesehen. Dort sind wir auf der Rückfahrt eingekehrt und haben den leckeren Kuchen genossen. Alles ist sehr gepflegt. Die Anlage ist wunderschön. Besonders die hübsche Mariengrotte lädt zur Einkehr und Besinnung ein. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen. Vielleicht besuchen wir auch den Nikolausmarkt am letzten Wochenende vor dem ersten Advent.

Reviewed By John071What I like in Germany are the small, family owned hotels. Contrary to the UK, you can hardly go wrong. Rooms were fine, clean and value for money. About 30 minutes from Dusseldorf Airport. Spacious parking. Sadly Sunday was the rest day, so kitchen was closed, but we were well served in the next village. WiFi was somewhat temperamental. Breakfast was ok.

Lovely place but you don't want to stay there!
Reviewed By Laura oIn April 2019 we stayed here - it was lovely. Food was good. Great hosts. BUT - when we left we were presented a bill. We'd prepaid our room but they couldn't find the payment information. Thinking we'd maybe made a mistake and being in a rush, we paid again. Well, we found our payment receipt and called to let the know the next day. They confirmed receiving a duplicate payment and said they'd reimburse us right away. Well almost 5 months later and still no reimbursement! All we get is excuses for why they haven't sent the payment. Or just simply a "we'll call you back" and get no call back of course. What a lousy way to treat guests. What a shame that what was a lovely memory has been soured because of bad management on their part. Failure to live up to their commitments and repay or at the very least apologize for the delay and even offer us a credit! Make sure you take your proof of payment with you if you prepay! You don't want to make our mistake!

Reviewed By aszczytDrogo jak cholera i bardzo niesympatycznie. Właścicielka codziennie włazi do pokoju i zakręca ogrzewanie. Grzebie w szafkach w kuchni, notorycznie ginie jedzenie. Poważne problemy z parkowaniem, niby mają miejsca ale... na przystanku. Ciągle przyłazi z jakimiś pretensjami, ze ktoś coś nie posprzątał a tymczasem sprowadza uchodźców na noclegi, którzy nie dość, ze nie sprzątają to jeszcze imprezują. Omijać szerokim łukiem! A jak już ktoś zapłaci z góry, to nie myślcie, ze dostaniecie coś z powrotem. Wyjątkowo chytra i pazerna osoba, której się wydaje, że jak ktoś jest Auslenderem, to można go robić w balona. Kłamie i kombinuje.
