Excellent Hotel and Great Staff
Reviewed By msathrThis hotel is a gem in Irondale. Great location for us to visit elderly parent in nearby nursing home. Rooms are spacious and in good condition. They accept pets for a small fee. We always travel with our dog. Staff are very friendly.

Not a good first impression
Reviewed By richey76This was the only hotel near the airport that had availability with short notice. We arrived as it began to rain and were assigned a room on the 3rd floor, back side. After lugging the bags up the stairs (no elevator), I was happy to find that the key card actually worked but was grossed out after opening the door. The beds weren’t made, there was a sock on the floor and there was a used IV bag next to the bed! We walked back downstairs in the rain and were assigned another room. This time we were assigned a room on the 3rd floor, front side. We climbed the stairs once again in the rain. The new room had been cleaned but I still found areas that needed more attention. At least there are no used medical supplies in this one. I will plan ahead next time and not stay here again.

A Surprisingly Enjoyable and Professional Experience
Reviewed By Justin DThe prices at this location was the primary reason for this reservation. The prices were significantly better for a short drive to UAB Hospital. Check in was easy and speedy. The room was immaculately clean! I mean it was literally white glove clean which completely blew me away. Housekeeping is doing an amazing job keeping the rooms clean. The gentleman who took care of the breakfast area was a great guy!! He really loved his job and ensured everyone was taken care of. His character is a rarity and I hope he is getting his kudos for a job well done. We had a check out issue and was charged for the room but the manager did a great job of correcting the issue. He was pleasant and professional! I will definitely stay at the location any chance I get.

Reviewed By W0rldTravel13Horrible, nasty grubby. Should be 50 a night or less. Dirty room, rude service, inedible food and coffee smelled bad. I’d pitch a tent in a field before I’d stop here again. No elevator and no offer off help with luggage. It’s a no-tell motel tucked up in the weeds in the dark.
