We like the location of the hotel, and have stayed here several times. It is situatet near a traffic intersection, but we have never been disturbed by much traffic noise at night. If you have a room in the front of the hotel, you get a great view. The room was nice and clean with good beds. We have had dinner inn the hotel restaurant several times, and the food is good, not 5 star, but for us at leas 3-4. The staff i helpfull and polite. The breakfast is standard, we missed eggs and bacon, but the rest were OK. The Hamsun senter, dedicatet to the author Knut Hamsund, is not far from here.

As we left Hamsun Center and were looking for another attraction in the neighborhood, Tranøy came to mind as Hamsun had a summer job there and stayed there for a little while, there`s even a tiny musuem in town dedicated to him, we passed it, but my main interest was Tranøy lighthouse. I didn`t regret visiting it, on a drizzly and foggy day it gave the place an eerie feeling, but the warmth of the caretaker and the staff soon overwhelmed us and made us feel at home. Lunch was good in the restaurant, although was nearly empty, but the caretaker and the girls were gearing up for a busy summer season ahead. The lady was kind enough to spare us a little while from her busy schedule for a guided tour up the tower. All in all it was a very splendid time spent at the lighthouse, and would have liked to see it midsummer , maybe another visit is looming soon...

Tysfjord Turistsenter Hotel is located 250 km above Arctic circle. We are a base camp for wildlife/killer whale safaris in Norway, and offer modern hotel rooms with all conveniences. The hotel also has lecture and conference rooms, and a large, pleasant reception area with an open fireplace where flames burn most of the day. The complex is in a picturesque setting, looking onto the idyllic Storjordpolden and facing Norway's national mountain, the Stetind. Some of the world's most beautiful rock carvings are close by. The Tysfjord Tourist Centre is a hotel big enough to meet most requirements, but small enough to ensure personal contact and good service.
We stopped here one night before traveling to Lofoten. The room was OK, we got a good evening meal and the owner was very nice and professional. The location was quiet. I do think the owner make all the difference and make this hotel better than the structure it self.

Tommerneset Camping has a beautiful location adjacent to the E6. We offer our guests experiences in the form of attractions, activities and nature-based adventures. The camp site is located in idyllic surroundings highlighted by mountains, lakes and fjords. Fishing enthusiasts will find good conditions for fishing in the sea, lakes and rivers, while hikers can enjoy excellent terrain in the surrounding mountains and forests. Several attractions are situated within walking distance of the camp site. The rock carvings situated here are between 4000 and 8000 years old, while the salmon ladder is one of the longest in Norway. There are also monuments from World War II. We welcome you to pleasant and tranquil surroundings.
Vakker plass med fine og rene fasiliteter og hytter. Fikk billigere hytte i lavsesong. Bare positivt å si om personalet også. Veldig interessant gangsti med krigshistorie fra en tysk fangeleir under krigen. Ligger på andre siden av gata.
