I was beginning to be dissapointed with my choice of hotels as I was approaching it...You have to drive through a semi-paved U Haul parking lot to get there. The hotel is uniquely locked in between a highway from which you can only access the hotel going only in one direction; and the other way is through a U Haul lot. So, if there is traffic and you are coming in from a "wrong" side, getting there would be challenging. Everyone who worked in the hotel was nice and they all are convinced that the hotel is located in a nice area. I must respectfully disagree. When I asked about upgrade availability, front desk did upgrade me. The suite looked interesting, not neccesarily in a good way. It also had an odor; when I asked an employee to check out my order and asked her what is it in her opinion, she said "Roses?". I thought it was more like an expired fish smell, but she came back with air freshener and sprayed some of it in the room. I was also told hotel has gone through a renovation....I could never tell that about the suite where I stayed. Maybe it was excluded from the renovation? The Bonvoy app claims the hotel is 5.5 miles from ORD, but it took over 20 minutes to get there even though I left before 4 am.

SpringHill Suites Review We arrived on a Saturday night around 10pm, staying for two days. Two adults with two teenage children. Check in (and out) was very easy. Staff was very friendly, and always accommodating with things such as extra towels, bandaids, etc. The biggest things I check for when staying someplace is how clean is the location/room, cost, distance I need to travel too and what amenities are included. We reserved a suite with 2 Queen beds and a pull out sofa. We had more when enough room, especially with messy teenagers. I will give this location a 5 star for cleaning. Our room was clean, not smelly, obvious clean sheets/blankets, and you feel like you could walk barefoot in the room (which had carpet). The continental breakfast, which was included in the room charge, was very good. They had an assortment of hot foods, as well as cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice and coffee. The pool was open until 11 pm each night, which the teens took complete advantage of. While it would have been nice to have a hot tub (I would have used that while the teens played), you can’t have everything. Location was about 30/45 minutes to downtown Chicago, depending on traffic. It was also about 30 minutes from a family member that we were visiting. All in all, the location was perfect considering the price. Our hotel bill for 2 nights was less then $375, and it included free parking which you will not get at a downtown hotel. Finally, on Monday morning while waiting for my travel team to get themselves around, I sat downstairs in the breakfast/lounge/lobby area. While I was working on some emails and talking on the phone, I watched the hotel staff clean and disinfect the entire lobby area, including elevators, bathrooms, etc. While I normally do not spend a lot of time in the this type of common area while traveling (I’m usually in my room), this is the first time I have seen cleaning such as this. Overall, I would completely recommend this hotel, and would personally stay here again.

For the incredibly low price, our stay was all that we expected. The only negative parts were the completely empty lobby/closed common areas/ lack of people there and some very worn down furniture in the room. I was nervous about the cleanliness but was pleased with the sanitized toilet and wrapped remote, etc. the bed was probably my least favorite part because it felt a little dirty but not too bad and worth the low price!

Free grab-and-go breakfast: Jumpstart your day with a free grab-and-go breakfast that includes a variety of breakfast bars and muffins, hot cereal, coffee, and tea.
I was recently had a partial ceiling collapse in my Condo that forced me to find a place to stay for about two months. This property was an excellent accommodation for what I needed. My single room was more than adequate, with a Kitchen area that more than met my needs. The room was very clean. Bed was very comfortable, as was the reclining chair. The staff was excellent, especially Betty and Nelly at the Front Desk. Never had a problem getting fresh towels, garbage bags, or toiletries. Note that this is more of an Extended Stay (as the Name says), no frills hotel. There is no Pool, No Fitness Room, No Ice Machines (because they do have Ice Cube Trays in the Freezer in the Room). The only Breakfast offerings were Coffee/Tea/Hot Chocolate from 6am-9:30. Instant Oatmeal (Hot Water available), Granola Bars & Muffins were also available. I found this very adequate. There are a couple of vending machines, as well as Pay Washing Machines & Dryers available. Housekeeping is available only once every two weeks, thio The only problems I encountered were with other guests, which the staff did there best to handle. Cannabis was periodically being smoked in the stairwells. There was a Domestic Violence Dispute one night where the Police had to be called in. The Elmhurst Police do make regular rounds, which is reassuring. But the only surveillance cameras I saw were on the First Floor, near all the entrances. Someone emptied alot of garbage in the Parking Lot one night, but I will say that the Maintenance staff did a very good job of cleaning that up, and keeping the grounds looking pretty good overall during my stay. I would definitely stay here again if I needed temporary lodging for a few days or more.
