What a lovely little property, was not sure what to expect on entry as the images on line gives the impression of a much larger hotel with more facilities. However the bedroom more than made up for any shortfall. The manager was very friendly and took pride in his job and the property. Free parking, great location, lovely little town/village with a few shops and some nice restaurants. This was a last minute booking for one night, slightly overpriced but happy to stay there again.

The Kings Arms Hotel - Eccleshall

The Kings Arms, Eccleshall is a recently and sympathetically refurbished 16th century coaching inn full of character & charm. With an ethos of simplicity and local, the pub resonates with the local community and is well supported. With an extensive range of cask ales and a plethora of gins and other fine spirits and soft drinks there is something to suit all tastes. Our food is made fresh to order with our meat sourced locally from WM Perry's the butcher, just next door and our carvery on Sunday is delicious. Our 4 en suite letting rooms have also been completely refurbished and are proving popular with travelling business people and those visiting the area.

A small hotel with a great welcome

Throughout our stay of 3 nights, all the staff were invariably cheerful and helpful. The rooms were quite small, but very clean, and furnished with very comfortable beds and modern en-suite shower rooms. There was a separate lounge for guests only, where a good selection of teas, coffee and bisuits was always available. The breakfasts were splendid, from cereals and toast to Full English (no porridge though!). All in all, a very happy experience, and we are pleased to recommend the Kings Arms Hotel.

Booked this B&B for one night while we attended a wedding. We wanted to stay longer! Welcoming owners, beautifully clean immaculate property and comfortable beds. There were complimentary small bottles of wine and beer as well as snacks and soft drinks left out for us to help ourselves to if we wished. We were shown exactly how to access the rooms and shown the facilities. It was quiet, secure and had lovely large rooms and a pretty view of the garden. Breakfast was amazing! We could choose exactly what we would like and what time. Richard served it to the dining area in each room and it was top notch. It is up a flight of stairs so not suitable for those unable to manage stairs but it’s worth the trip. I have never stayed in such a spotless hotel or guest house. I really think they could and would be justified in charging more for this property. We want to go back for a holiday and explore the area on our bikes. It was PERFECT!

What a great place to relax and enjoy

We stayed overnight but had enough time to look round the area, it is not totally remote but the narrow lanes give it a feel of isolation. We were made very welcome with home made biscuits and tea. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was full of local produce if not made on site then from a neighbours farm or Mill.
