On the slopes of the alpine rim, in the Cottian Alps, between the village of Cumiana and Giaveno, there are hills and valleys of almost uncontaminated woodland that give an unexpected atmosphere of peace and tranquillity only a few minutes drive from the swarming city of Turin and the olimpic mountains of Pinerolo. Here you can find Camping Verna, at about 875 meters above sea level, that takes the name from the near hamlet of Cumiana called Verna. The campsite is a paradise for who likes to spend days in total relax immersed in the green and nature of the foot of the mountain Piedmont in cool and peacefull evenings or in cozy heated Mini-Chalets in the winter days.

Reviewed By Liz YThis campsite is somewhat out of the way, but really worth the trip to go there. We stayed for two nights in September, the site was not crowded at all. We arrived with no food and it was too late to try to go anywhere else, so we were very happy to take advantage of the stock of basic food items available in the office. The organisation of the site is very nicely done, and we appreciated the ethos, availability of coffee, vegetables and beer for which you can contribute as you see fit. The family running the site were welcoming and helpful, and the facilities were some of the best we found on this trip. We missed the restaurant as it was closed on the nights we were there, closed on Monday and Tuesday nights. But great to know it is there! It was peaceful and in beautiful surroundings. Would certainly come again.

Villa Palmitia began as a B & B in the summer of 2013. And 'run by Silvia and her family , in a seventeenth century manor house , with an antique flavor, once called home "La Favorita" . The B & B, however, is an opportunity to give a new name to the place, taking a cue from the many palm trees growing in the garden. The palm is a symbol of rebirth and is symbolically linked to the phoenix and all ' tree of life . In fact, this wants to be a new beginning , the realization of a place in which to convey different activities , starting from those of receptivity and hospitality to those of meditation.

Reviewed By missjulie2015My husband and I stayed one night but wished we had time to linger. Silvia's garden is so beautiful. When we came down for breakfast (which was delicious), Silvia was arranging such an abundance and array of flowers. Our stay was very peaceful. The room was spacious, comfortable, very clean. We would definitely stay at Villa Pamitia again if we are in the area. Thank you, Silvia!

Our holiday home is located in an area surrounded by peaceful countryside, rich in historical sites and buildings of great architectural merit, in a location nearby the hills of Turin. Turin can easily be reached by car and the Zoom Torino Park is only 6 km away from Casa Buffa. Other places worth the visit are Sacra di San Michele, Reggia di Venaria, Stupinigi and Forte di Fenestrelle.

Reviewed By Piia36The house is lovely with a big garden and a nice pool. We stayed with a family for two weeks and booked two rooms. The rooms and the whole house are decorated very tastefully. For us one of the most important thing is that everything is very clean. The owners are very helpful. They really contribute that their guests can have a super holiday. We have stayed in many places in Italy before, but this is the first one we`d like to go back!
