BED BUGS FOUND
Reviewed By RBrock57MULTIPLE BED BUGS FOUND - ROOM 119 - 5/29/2022 I checked in on Sunday, May 29th, 2022, and went up to room 119 with my wife and daughters. Within 60 seconds I found 2 bed bugs on the right-side bed close to the pillow by the nightstand and 1 bed bug on the nightstand. We immediately left the room and told the young lady at the front desk. She apologized and told me she would tell the owner and that I wouldn't be charged. The next day I called and talked to a man and he too assured me they would refund me. The day after I noticed the charge was still on my credit card statement. I called again and this time spoke to someone who identified himself as the owner. This man told me I was wrong and there were no bed bugs. This was obviously not true. He still refused to give me a refund and hung up on me. I contacted corporate at Best Western and informed them of the experience. A little later the man who identified himself as the owner of the hotel called me back and told me he would issue a refund. We'll never be back. Everything about this hotel was a nightmare.

I love when we repeat stay at a hotel a year later and their service is consistent and a number of the employees are still there. This time we ate at their restaurant and my husband and I are so glad that we did! Johnny made our dinner which was a really good pizza! Homemade crust and cooked perfectly. Johnny was a delight and we really enjoyed him and his excellent personality and service. The next day before driving out of town we went back and ordered lunch to go from a very nice lady (I failed to get her name)! Once again, our BIG burger and fries were cooked perfectly! Next time I will order additional fries because they were so yummy! From the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant ~ the consistency is on point! We look forward to staying at our HIDDEN GEM again this year!

Reviewed By rockcoleA one night stop on our way to St Louis. The hotel Staff was more than helpful. Felt comfortable staying here. Breakfast was the bare minimum but the hotel was essentially empty so it is understandable.
