We paid about €120 for a very simple room with a spartan (continental) breakfast (this was for 3 people). A very poor rate of exchange given. Staff Cheeky, definitely not recommended. Location not bad for museums and shopping. But imperial?

It is a traditional and renovated hotel located in the center of the city, with private bathroom and breakfast included.
Located in a small town, Melo does not offer 100 options to accommodate you. As we arrive late after a long journey, we did enjoy our bed and room. It was basic and simple. Ok for one night but not to stay longer. Room was clean and the staff was certainly helpful. The breakfast is basic.

Lovely little Hotel in the Heart of Melo Family run Hotel Very Clean with friendly staff. (limited English) Lovely fresh breakfasts with choice of Breads/cakes ham cheese etc... all self service. If your from the UK you would class it as a Bed & Breakfast. Has an old Spanish feel with its tiled floors and Open log fires. But all so has all the mod cons needed ie large TV's ect... Im told its the best in Melo. Stayed there on several buisness trips over last couple of years. The only down side is the noise from outside. There is allot of traffic (Mainly small motor bikes), That pass by quite often into the early hours. So take your ear plugs if you like sleep as the windows frames are very poor! Maybe this is normal for Uruguay due to the climate.
