Lots of in depth information and haunting artefacts very well presented in a beautiful respectful peaceful setting in a non-glorified way. An informative, moving and memorable experience. Much respect to the curators, they have done an excellent job with a very difficult exhibit.

Angkor Panorama Museum

If you into art (?) like me, then you will enjoy this great little museum in central Siem Reap, Cambodia. In addition to many fantastic paintings (by a variety of local and global artists), there are video displays (including optional short movies you may choose to watch), plus interesting sculptures, dotted throughout the complex. A highlight for me personally, was the massive mural, with three dimensional 3D effects housed in a special (no private filming allowed) exhibition hall, providing a fascinating historical timeline for the Khmer civilization. Glad we visited and also pleased that we took advantage of a taking one of the guided museum tours.

Preah Norodom Sihanouk-Angkor Museum

This museum is great value for money at only $3 and 1,000 riel for Khmers. They have recently (July) expanded the exhibition space and they now have exhibits on the 2nd floor as well. They have guides who give you a free tour. This is a great chance to see various artifacts including various buddhas and carvings in a much less crowded environment than the temples.
