Adlington Hall

Attended a Winter wedding at this beautiful venue. The building is most interesting with one Tudor style facade onto a cobbled courtyard and a grand Georgian facade surrounded by both formal and informal gardens so plenty of lovely backdrops for photos. The Great Hall with roaring fire, historic organ, beams and heraldry made for a stunning location for the wedding ceremony and for photos afterwards. The adjacent barn was also a beautiful venue for the reception with atmospheric decor and good food. Staff throughout were very professional and everyone had a most enjoyable and memorable day

Capesthorne Hall

This was my second visit to Capesthorne Hall. The first was for a wedding. On both occasions I was bowled over by the beauty of the house, its history and the extensive gardens. It's an absolutely magical venue and a lovely place to spend the day just walking around or on holiday in their accommodations. But, anyone lucky enough to celebrate a wedding or life event there should consider themselves to be extremely privileged indeed. Moreover, their friends & family are going to talk about THE WEDDING or THE PARTY for years to come - as I am. From my own personal observations, I can tell you that Capesthorne's staff know how to put on a fantastic show. The staff are more than capable of meeting the needs of any bride, groom, birthday boy or birthday girl. Both times, I enjoyed wonderful food, wine, music and a light show in a spectacular setting. I also stayed over night in their new Pods near the walled garden. In my opinion, these pods are of comparable standard to any 5 star hotel, as are (I am told) the cottages - and staying in them is such fun too. I've visited A LOT of country houses over the years, and I've never written a review about one before. None have ever particularly impressed me. But, Capesthorne Hall is an exception. It's a wonderful place & I hope to return again one day soon.
