Excellent for walks through the well tended gardens and surrounding trails. Perfect for dog walking and the restaurant/coffee shop is also dog friendly. Very family orientated and seasonal activities for children.

Excellent guided tour of this working Royal Palace - wonderful art displays, beautifully presented rooms, lots of photographs, artefacts and stories which tell the history of this beautiful Royal Palace. We also took some time walking around the beautiful 100acre gardens first established in the 1700’s, including impressive tree lined walks, a lake, hidden garden and a recently restored walled garden

Bangor Castle Walled Garden

Whilst at the Starbucks a short hop up the road at the retail park we saw this on the map. So glad we came, it was beautiful, and also the car parking was plentiful and free. The gardens are kept tip top & looked amazing. There are benches around the outside where we sat for a while in the warm sun shine. Another nice thing was there was no issue with young children playing on the grass and running around, great to hear the laughter. There’s a small cafe with toilets too. If you are up for relaxing with a coffee, with a book and sitting in the sun this is right up your alley.
