Vientiane is the capital and largest city in Laos. Located on the banks of the Mekong River, Vientiane is a city steeped in legend and history. The city is the home of the massive gilded stupa, Pha That Luang, a national symbol of Laos. The streets are lined with trees, French colonial buildings, street markets, Buddhist temples, and noodle shops. Just outside the city is Buddha Park, a garden littered with over 200 cement sculptures depicting the gods and monsters of Buddhist and Hindu myth.

On the other side of Vientiane coming from the night market area. A bit expensive. I paid 930,000 Kip per 30 round 7.62 x 39mm magazine. 100,000 Kip for 22 cal. magazine for a CZ pistol. You pick your weapon from a menu. Smorgasbord of firearms available too. Then you are driven with a golf cart out to a range. If you know what you are doing they let you have fun, or, they assist you if you need instruction. Safe, fun, and well organized by professionals.

There isn’t much to do in Vientiane and we were only staying here for one night as a stopover on our way to Vang Vieng. However...the Lao Bowling centre was a great laugh and so much fun and we highly recommend you give it a visit to kill some time during your stay. It was incredibly cheap per game and very old school but everything worked fine and the owners and some locals were playing on the lane next to us and we all had a great laugh!
