The Skihalle can easily be reached by public bus. Make your way to Neuss HBF and take bus 843 to the Skihalle exit. The bus runs twice an hour and it takes about 25 minutes. Leaving the Skihalle, the bus stop is right across from where you exited the other bus. Pick up times here are on the hour and half hour. I went early, 9.30 am, on a Wednesday morning and it was not crowded. By noon it started filling up. You can rent skis/snowboard, shoes, jackets, ski pants and helmets. I am not sure about socks, however no gloves or hats. There is a ski shop next to the pay desk where you can buy stuff at reasonable prices. You can buy a 2-hour, 3 hours, all day ticket, Wednesday afternoon ticket etc. Online, you can reserve/buy it all as well and it may be a few euro’s cheaper. Where you get your skis there are lockers for your stuff and you will need a 1-euro coin in order to use the locker. (yes, you will get it back) There are 2 ski areas, 1 sledding area. The signs are in German and English. Poles are available, sorted by length in the main ski area. In regard to the main ski area, I was told the slope is about 300 meters long, there is 1 main ski lift and each seat seats 4. It is all well laid out and functional. Since I hadn’t skied in many years, this was very nice as it was not busy, and the difficulty level is about medium. So, going about it for 2 hours was great. If you are an expert skier who seeks a long thrill rides, or if you do not like crowds, this may not be for you. For me it was perfect, and it was enjoyable. This is a great attraction/thing to do when you are in the area, and it maybe the coolest thing to do in the summer. Just remember that when you are done to turn in your ski card, and you will get 2 euros back (deposit) That was not mentioned anywhere or to me. There is also a self-serve restaurant on-site, bathrooms are free, and Wi-Fi is available. Enjoy
