This is to warn visitors about caretaker's fraud but before that the good part. Its a rare chance to visit top of lighthouse, offers excellent 360* view of sea and surrounding from top of lighthouse. New step way from with proper lighting has been constructed from the road to the top. However the negative thing is that the caretaker - he sits just before the lighthouse entrance and says entry fees is Rs 20 per person to go to the top. We thought it is official and paid Rs 100 for 5 of us and in the excitement went inside to the top of lighthouse. Later we realised that he didnot give us any official receipt nor we saw any notice board anywhere intimating such fees. On the way down , we met another local tourist group and asked them whether they also were charged. They said no but indirectly indicated that this is common scam for outside tourists as they easily accept and least likely to complain. So beware of this scam. There is no official charge for entry.

I visited vengurla jetty in the afternoon. It was quiet. Now this place is full of colors. Vibrant colors are so amazing that we spent almost one hour there to take photographs from different angles. The newly placed elephant has become a new selfie point there. That elephant looks so real that we couldn't resist to touch it. But the water was not so clean. Dead rat and crow was floating on the water. Local authorities should look after this. Otherwise this place is beautiful with the view of clean beach and creek full of mangroves and colorful, eye-catching fishing boats.
