We rode Adventure Bikes into Die Hel. I was on a 1200 GSA.. no problem.. we stayed right at the end of Die Hel.. (about 70km) from the turn off... 2 hrs ride.. with stops for pics.. Road is okay except they were grading it so that section was a bit tricky for the heavy bikes... i survived.. beautiful scenery, a definite must to check out.. Strictly self catering.. so be prepared.. we stayed at Bo plaas.. Hannes huis.. very nice... Bad fire through there just over a year ago.. so lots is burnt.. Im glad we experienced Die Hel.

Had a very pleasant early morning coffee over looking the olive groves and watching the plentiful birdlife. Then moved into the tasting room where we enjoyed an informative tasting session - must have been about 10 or 12 different varieties of olives including tapenade, chutney and marmalade. And the produce is very reasonably priced.

The Green Prince Gin Bar at the Swartberg Hotel is stocked with a selection of the finest local gins, including Inverroche, Wilderer, KWV’s Cruxland and the colour-changing Six Dogs Blue (you’ll have to come and see it for yourself). All of these delicious gins is combined with the tastiest tonics and different garnishes to bring out the unique flavours of each one.
Such a cool bar with great gin mixes and great food as well. We even had to return for seconds on our short trip to Prince Albert. The waiters were also extremely friendly!
