Scenic drive that winds through the Crystal River Valley, over McClure Pass to Crawford, Crested Butte, Kebler Pass and back to Carbondale.
We traveled the Byway from Carbondale to Delta, and loved the mountains, waterfalls, rivers, animals (we saw a black bear), coke ovens and quaint towns.

The help is very nice and I was surprised at how many resources they had for a small town. The only piece that is challenging, is that kids come at the start of the shift and play games until it closes, so it is hard to use the computers.

If you like Jasper Johns this is your special small museum having one of the the nations largest collections. Very nice staff to visit with. And free no less. Three of us enjoyed an hour and would recommend allowing some more time before closing. Hours are 10 to 3, and check the days on line.
