Paddys River Falls

Magnificent waterfalls, just a 15 minutes drive from Tumbarumba, heading towards Tooma. Short walk to the viewing platform (less than 100m) and little further to falls. Great opportunity for photography.

What a glorious place to take in the views and walk down beneath the thundering waterfalls. Formed by Hexagonal columns of a remnant basalt flow. Picnic tables, lookout and toilets.

Burra Town Hall

Reviewed By 619jeffry - Essendon, Australia

Burra Town Hall is a heritage building that dates from the days when Burra was one of the richest copper mines in the Britisn Empire. Many descendants of the Cousin Jacks (Cornish miners) can still be found in South Australia. The Town Hall is magnificently decorated. It hs worn the years well; it is still used for civic functions. Burra has a number of interesting sights, you should definitely see the Town Hall if you are in the area.

Burra Visitor Centre

Popped in to obtain some information about the town and area. We were assisted by (the awesome) Tammy. She was extremely pleasant and helpful and provided ALL the information and tips we needed about Burra and some really great suggestions. We spent the rest of the day & the next basically following her guidance and had a ball. The Info Centre is a must when first arriving in Burra and hopefully Tammy will be the one to assist you.
