A fun relaxing stroll in the country with a furry dinosaur who is guaranteed to make you smile. Come and walk one of our wonderful Alpacas in the Upper North Tyne Valley situated in the Northumberland National park. The beautiful countryside is within sight of the Kielder Dam just outside the village of Falstone, close to Bellingham. Booking essential. We also have two holiday cottages at the farm too, these are called Ferny Rigg Byre and Merry Burn Barn. Bookable through cottages.com

This is a beautiful area in the centre of a suburban town. The access is excellent and will appeal to young and old. The wildlife and lake are fantastic to see and to walk around at your own pace.

Hidden from view and only occasionally open to the public, we’re now able to walk on designated routes through the estate. Many miles of paths have been built or repaired so you can spend a number of hours walking here, just make sure you wear appropriate foot wear. No facilities so make sure you’re prepared.

Unsure how or why people can complain at the price or value for money in some of the comments, it’s laughable!! The most you can expect to pay is £6 for parking, and that allows you to stay allllll day. There’s so much to do, it’s brilliantly set out, there’s places to buy food should you wish and there’s toilets and a variety of play equipment and trails. All well signposted and all our group of all ages had a brilliant time. I was concerned about pushchair after reading some previous reviews but needn’t had been, there’s well walked routes, and travel systems with suspension have no problems getting around the other bits. We stayed for hours and took a picnic on the way home from somewhere else, hadn’t expected to stay quite so long but why wouldn’t you!? Well done to all involved in making this such a brilliant experience. Gruffalo trail is an excellent add on! 5*
