Capital Region Farmers Market

We visited from Adelaide and really enjoyed this Farmer's Market's atmosphere and offerings. While parking was a little hard to navigate, the market itself was bustling with friendly and passionate stall holder and shoppers. Prices for fresh produce was about standard to supermarkets, but the quality far superior. Plenty of samples to try as well! Definitely enjoy a pork and fennel sausage roll, washed down with an blood orange juice slurpie!

Old Bus Depot Markets

We regret to advise that we will be temporarily closed from this coming Sunday 29th March 2020. Our closure is due to the increase in Covid-19 cases in the ACT and the subsequent restrictions around crowd numbers and implementing social distancing measures across Canberra. Stay up to date on our reopening date on social media, or via our website. Lovers of fine hand crafted wares, clothing collectors, food fanatics and jewellery junkies are just a few of the people who make their way to Canberra’s famous Old Bus Depot Markets every Sunday. In a fabulous old industrial building you will experience the endless colour, tastes, sounds and atmosphere that is “Canberra’s Sunday Best”. Find your favourite stallholder and visit the Markets this Sunday from 10am-4pm.

Love this market for myself and buying gifts. There is heaps of local produce including vegetables, eggs, bakery, fudge etc. Then lots of hot food to eat in or take away. Most places do tastings and are very helpful with dietary requirements. There's also second hand clothes, upcycled jewellery, new jewellery, native plants, baby toys, ugg boots, cards, games, art, candles etc. A bit busy before in the weeks leading up to Christmas but manageable. There were real Christmas trees there this week too!

What a surprise. Just driving past, drove in and was blown away by extent of facilities. Great fresh produce, specialist shops, best ever artisan bakery (cherry danish, croissants +++), butchers, great liquor shop, street food etc. GO THERE.
