Gourmet - La Scuola di Cucina di Asti

Reviewed By VillaArneis - Denver, United States

Great place for locals and visitors alike. It's been nearly three years since I've reviewed La Scuola di Cucina di Asti, since then I've been there several times and each time Enrico has done a great job. I'm always discovering new tips and I never get tired of the delicious dishes Enrico prepares with us. It's not a hands-on cooking class, but there are some opportunities to jump in and cook. IMPORTANT POINT: Some cooking classes can be quite frustrating for Americans since they can't find the ingredients at home or the techniques are too difficult. Not so with Chef Enrico. He spent 15 years in California (during which time he had his own restaurant in Beverly Hills) and therefore tailors his recipes to address the challenges Americans might have when replicating the dishes at home. His salsiccia ragu has become my go-to sauce for dinner parties. I serve it over polenta since I'm gnocchi-making challenged.
