Golden palaces, floating markets, majestic porcelain-laid spires…you've never seen a capital city quite like Bangkok. Visit Pratunam or Siam Square for premium shopping, then unwind in the European-style gardens of Dusit. Thon Buri is home to the awesome Wat Arun temple, and over in Phra Nakhon, you’ll find the Wat Pho temple of the Reclining Buddha. Savor mango sticky rice at a food stall before taking in the gilded splendor of the Grand Palace.

In the space of just a morning or afternoon, you can learn how to cook your favourite Thai dishes. Unlike other cooking schools, at Pia's Thai kitchen you can tell your host, Pia, exactly what you want to cook and when, and she will adapt to your tastes and abilities. Included in the price is a free market tour where Pia will show you how to select the ingredients which make up the magic of Thai cuisine. And unlike other cooking schools, you can sit down to eat your dishes with Pia, or take your food home with you. Pia is a native of Isaan, in North East Thailand, so as well as classic "central" Thai dishes, for the adventurous types, Pia can show you rustic dishes from her home town, including "jungle" food. Pia's techniques are truly authentic, passed down from her mother and grandmother, with everything cooked from original ingredients. Pia was a teacher before qualifying as a chef, and she is a lively communicator who will teach you a lot about Thai language and culture while you are learning to cook! Older children are welcome to join in the class, or if you have small children, let us know and we can make arrangements for them. Classes take place in Pia's home, conveniently located in downtown Bangkok, minutes from Phrom Pong BTS station. Pia can teach groups of up to 6 people. Pia looks forward to welcoming you and unlocking the secrets of Thai cuisine!
