The 5 Best Concerts & Shows in City of London, England

September 10, 2021 Florencio Paulino

The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Ceremony of the Keys

Reviewed By KaneyCumbria_England - Workington, United Kingdom

Visiting The Tower Of London when all the visitors have left is a unique experience. Made much better by the Beefeaters, on this occasion Scott Kelly. We visited on Feb 2nd after booking tickets over 18 month ago. We even arranged our stay in London based upon our tickets. But well worth it. We'd visited a few years ago and enjoyed it so much we hoped we would attend the ceremony again. I could repeat everything the previous reviewers have said, but it has all been said. All I can add is it is definitely worth the visit. It is a brilliant experience to be in the The Tower of London when your part of a small group, usually about 30. To see and hear the soldiers, last post etc is wonderful. The Beefeaters are knowledgeable, friendly and explain the ceremony from start to finish. To be able to attend this ceremony (and for free) was an honour, I'd suggest, recommend a visit.

Barbican Centre

The Barbican Centre is the largest multi-arts centre in Europe, featuring art, film, music, theatre, dance and education all under one roof and under one creative direction. There's a great choice of eating and drinking at the Barbican, with something to please every taste.

Our visit on this occasion was for a concert in the Barbican Hall, a truly excellent venue, seating superb, so comfortable. The Centre itself is so impressive just visiting it is uplifting, so such goes on there it still feels relaxing and exciting at the same time. There are several good restaurants of differing formats, good and enjoy the atmosphere.
