Kedah (Malay pronunciation: [kəˈdɑh]; Jawi: قدح), also known by its honorific Darul Aman or "Abode of Peace", is a state of Malaysia, located in the northwestern part of Peninsular Malaysia. The state covers a total area of over 9,000 km², and it consists of the mainland and Langkawi. The mainland has a relatively flat terrain, which is used to grow rice. Langkawi is an archipelago of islands, most of which are uninhabited. Ave Stella Maris Chapel is the only Catholic Church in Kuah Langkawi.Mass is Celebrated every weekend on Sundays at 8pm. Every Satuday (except during school holidays) there are Catechism Class and Faith formations in the chapel at 4pm for students age 6 years to 18 years. There are also Music and Choir Practices at 5pm every Saturday.

This is a nice buddhist temple place to visit, it’s just 5-7 mins from the hotel where I stayed. An amazing marble statue of Kuan Yin on the hill and different small temples around the area. -free entrance -free parking -quite and peaceful (not crowded)
