Great venue to watch horse racing, Visited in July 2019 for Canada Day events and again for a Thanksgiving meal. Restaurant staff are pleasant & helpful.

McPhillips Street Station is a great casino - lots of fun, lots of parking. Weekends usually have live entertainment - never know what celebrity groups might be playing

I have visited Club Regent twice since the reopening, after the COVID closure. I have to say that I felt quite safe and was pleased that everyone was wearing masks and the employees are very diligent with cleaning everywhere. Seems they have more employees on duty who are cleaning. I watched and as soon as someone got up from a slot machine, they were there cleaning it and the chair. It was nice to see that they do have a few food options. Although I wasn't sure where you are actually allowed to eat, besides at the few open tables at McDonalds. Next time I will ask (in the case that I purchase just a hotdog). They said they will be opening a new smoking area within one to two weeks. Right now people have to go outside the front doors. The new area will be located towards the back (west side of the building if my directions are correct). The door to the outside location is where the bingo used to be held, towards the back. There was a span of three weeks between my two visits. During that time the slot machines had been moved and it felt like they are now laid out better. I still found that several of my favorite slot machines are unavailable due to the spacing regulations. My wish would be that they alternate those machines from time to time and move them so they are available. I know, likely not realistic, just my wish because I really miss my favorite slots! I am just thankful that the casinos are open and that the new regulations do not apply to them. With COVID, I have been apprehensive of going into restaurants, stores, etc. but I was happy that I gave Club Regent a try because life has become quite boring with no travel and such. I would not discourage anyone from going as long as you meet the screening criteria. They place is very clean and they screen every person who enters. I look forward to one of my next visits being an overnight one and staying at the attached hotel.
