We were given a “free” gift from the dealer when we bought our rv, a $1000 value of 20 nights at a Colorado River Adventure resort. When we called to book we wanted Yuma , but the associate strongly directed us to Earp. As it was our first rv adventure, we went with the suggestion. He assured us that the resort and the staff would “WOW” us as Emerald Cove was their premier resort When we arrived at 4:30 PM at the resort, the stuck us way down the line away from the amenities. As I am handi-capped, we had to ask to be moved closer. The lot was small dirt and gravel and two lanes back from the beach. Each lot has a palm tree at the front but no shade throughout the park. There was a full rv hookup, a iron bbq grill and a very worn and splintery picnic table. We got settled in went to the Tiki Bar pool side fir dinner. Happy screaming kids and unimpressive menu. Next morning early at 9:0O AM we had our “presentation”. First question was “well what do you think o the resort”. We had not real time to make an assessment. Presentation was very positive about the wonders of the park. When we indicated that were had not had enough time tim make a decision to spend $8000 with $499 a year fee the presentation ended abruptly and we were told we, if we did not take he offer now we would have to wait two years before we could buy. The beach was nice but big loud speed boats were continually racing up and down the river. The shower area was old but clean. Toilet in the mens handi capped stall was loose on the floor. One sink facet dis not work. Wind blew continually and we could not use our awning for shade. The free internet service was dial-up speed and not suitable for streaming or browsing. The cell phone service was 2-3 bars roaming with no visible towers in the area. Partying campers went on past midnight two nights in a row even though the policy is quiet after 10 PM I gave two stars because it was free. If I had to pay for a dirt lot in a wind tunnel it would have been a one. If is their “premier resort”, we were glad we did not go to any other. We will not be using any additional “free stays with Colorado River Adventures. Time shares may be of interest to some but are not our thing
