Jackson Rancheria RV Park

Best park in Northern Ca.

Reviewed By Explore20906411260

This is the nicest rv park within 200 miles. We wish all rv parks were this clean, neat and scenic as this one. They set a very high bar to top. We always have a great time here. This group knows how to operate a park. Every time we return home we remark about good our stay was, and how soon we can get back. Even the people who run the shuttle service are top notch. The casino is clean, and when we visited, the smoke was not to bad. We would give then 10 stars if we could

Lake Camanche Recreation

Tent and RV sites are available year-round at both North and South Shores. RV hook-up sites are provided at South Shore only. Self-contained RVs may camp at North Shore. Many sites offer immediate lake access while others are just a short walk away. Ask you reservation agent or check the online maps for which sites provide shade. Campsite amenities include barbecues, tables, water, hot showers, restrooms and laundry facilities. Cottage and Motel Units, for those who enjoy the outdoors but don't necessarily want to "rough it", are available at Lake Camanche. These tidy, yet simple cottages, many with lake views, have kitchens, barbecues, A/C, TV and are situated at both North and South Shores. (All four (4) person cottages are one (1) bedroom units and North Shore offers adjoining one (1) bedroom units)

Family Get Together at Lake Camanche South Shore

Reviewed By Henry F

Wanted to share with you the marvelous family get together we had at Lake Camanche-South Shore. In particular, we wanted to share with you the great service that Pam provided our group. She attended to all our inquires and helped us with all our questions. In one of the cottages, the air conditioner was not functioning during this heat wave so she provided the swamp coolers to help lower the temperature. There were instances in each of the cottages that needed clarification, i.e. how to turn on the stove hood fan and light in the ADA Cottage. Also, helping us with the door locks and door knobs that did not function. There are some items that need the attention of the maintenance staff. In Cottage 5, the light on the stove for the oven remains on even though the oven is not in use; and the living room blind that faces the parking area is unable to close completely. Management may wish to include a box of facial tissue in the units.

Tent camping

Reviewed By G5801XYjustint

Booked sites t11/ t12. Sites aren't clearly marked so had to move once setup due to unclear marking. T 11 according to the camp host was the best spot. But it's up on a flat rock pile with no shade which had a man made fire pit no ring and a broken picnic table. Sites were extremely small and for the 50 a night extremely expensive for what you get. The lake was pretty but extremely shallow. Camp was quiet but very dusty. Only thing that was a plus was on-site water .

People live here full time! Not what you would expect for an RV "RESORT"

Reviewed By YoseGirl

We were shocked to see that they had full time RV people living here - a lot of them, like 1/2 the park is full time residents. People had decks built, fences around RVs, sheds, you name it. One Trailer was broken and it was being supported by their car - leaning on the hood - super classy! If we had known that the RV park was not enforcing the same rules (open fires by residents, trash left out, people yelling and screaming and having scooter races (adults that live there until late at night) then we would NOT have stayed here. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Silver Lake (kays Resort) Day use

Reviewed By vitara2016

Although Silver Lake (Kays Resort) is currently a day use facility pending upgrades to cabins and camping facility, it is a well worthwhile drive to enjoy one of the most beautiful lakes in Northern California! Great fishing, boating, kayaking, swimming, and super clean facilities (i.e. restrooms, picnic areas) make it a delightful getaway with the family. Not to mention the view of Thunder Mountain and surrounding alpine beauty, proximity to Kirkwood Lodge, and affiliation with the Silver Lake West Campground located about 1/4 mile east in a rugged, beautiful setting. A campground reservation receipt entitles you to full use of the Lake and boat launch during your stay. Friendly and helpful Rangers complete the package for a good time. Kay's Boathouse at the boat launch is becoming a museum of sorts, with relics and photos of earlier days. A visit to Silver lake boat launch area and the adjacent Sandy Cove day use area complete with beach area and picnic tables is truly enjoyable.
