Savaneta is a village in southeastern Aruba. Home to the oldest surviving home in Aruba, it is the oldest town on the island and its former capital. It was where the Dutch first settled after they recaptured it in 1816. The Dutch marines have barracks stationed in Savaneta.

This was such a fun little area. If you go into the mangroves area, there are spaces for everyone! It was like everyone had their own little beach entrance! Fun music from the locals, great snorkeling, and great people to visit with. If you're looking to escape the cruise ship locations, this should be your go-to!
