Minot (/ˈmaɪnɒt/ ( listen) MY-not) is a city in and the county seat of Ward County, North Dakota, United States, in the state's north-central region. It is most widely known for the Air Force base located approximately 15 miles (24 km) north of the city. With a population of 40,888 at the 2010 census, Minot is the fourth largest city in the state and a trading center for a large portion of northern North Dakota, southwestern Manitoba, and southeastern Saskatchewan. Founded in 1886 during the construction of the Great Northern Railway, Minot is also known as "Magic City", commemorating its remarkable growth in size over a short time.

This park is absolutely gorgeous and tells so much of the Scandinavian heritage that helped build this country. Showing many of the historic places and things that they loved and brought with them to teach people here the true history of those countries and their ancestors that came here and worked so hard to create a new life. Most people never have the opportunity to go to their family's home country but they can gain so much about that life by visiting here. THe Museum is free but they do ask for a donation.

Founded in 1986, the Dakota Territory Air Museum has evolved into a significant historical depository honoring the men, women and machines that have impacted the rich history of aviation. Displays include an impressive collection of WWII aircraft and general aviation aircraft, a full scale replica of the Wright Flyer, many artifacts and much more! The museum has become a viable and important historical resource for the region and the state of North Dakota. The museum is open from Mid-May through Mid-October. Hours during the open season are Monday through Saturday 10:00am - 5:00pm and Sunday 1:00pm - 5:00pm.
Excellent staff and great displays. The WWII memorabilia is both unusual and enlightening. Best military exhibit in Minot.

Oak park is my favorite place to bike or run in Minot. There are two many paths - a road open to cars and bikes with a one mile loop, and a bath restricted to foot traffic that goes a total of 1.4 miles. Lots of trees, and the foot path winds through a very secluded area. Wildlife includes plentiful geese and squirrels, and I've also seen raccoons and deer.

Seriously the best zoo in ND & MT. I’m from MT and it blows our zoo out of the water. Loves the Gibbon monkeys they are so fun to watch. The zebra and giraffes are super cool also. Really nice cages for most of the animals with a 360 view so you can always find the animals. We will be back next time we are in Minot!!

Located in Minot, North Dakota, Dakota Square Mall is located close to Minot Air Force Base and just 50 miles from Canada. The mall offers great shopping at four department stores: Herberger's, JCPenney, Sears and Target, and includes a full-line up of stores like Aeropostale, American Eagle Outfitters, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Bath & Body Works, Kay Jewelers, Old Navy, Scheels and Victoria's Secret. A Food Court, Carmike Cinemas and a Sleep Inn & Suites with an indoor waterpark are all located at the mall.
There was lots of parking and we punched Dakota Mall into our gps and it was easy to find . Lots of stores and lots of sales . All in all it was a great shopping experence.
