Stretching 160 miles through Utah, the Wasatch Range makes a rugged, glacial backdrop for the 85% of the states population living within 15 miles. Mount Nebo is highest at 11,928 feet, but the peaks around Alta and Park City are most popular. "The greatest snow on earth" falls on these spectacular slopes. Lone Peaks granite outcrops provide top climbing. Canyons and valleys are loved by fly-fishermen and hikers. After all that adventure, retire to a hip restaurant or enticing hot tub in chic Park City.

One of the finest displays of Utah art.
This is an outstanding collection of art hiding in the little city of Springville in Utah country. The collection is shockingly diverse, from a a wonderful collection of Utah art, to a gallery of one of the largest collection of Soviet art in the country. With some beautiful art, including a portrait gallery, the museum boasts a wonderful small concert space and really interesting Spanish-style architecture with a beautiful garden area. Really this is totally worth a visit! I was shocked how amazing this gallery is and go back frequently!

I miss the plethora of museums that I used to be able to visit when I lived in New York. BYU Museum of Art helps to nicely fill that gap. I have enjoyed every visit I have made there! And, am especially thankful for the special events they have provided to all of us (such as "Beauty and Belief" or Monet exhibits, etc.)...and for free! Many thanks to BYU for offering so many amazing artists to us - that we might see the world and its cultures in new and enlightened ways!

The Brigham City Museum opened in 1970. Ever since displays have included a permanent history section as well as a changing gallery of art and history displays. Each summer the gallery features an exhibition of art quilts, and at least one national traveling exhibition per year. A special area of the permanent history exhibit includes an interactive area with fun activities for children of all ages.
This museum has the history of Brigham City along with monthly exhibits of quilts in the summer. Right next doors is a old pioneer cabin which open all summer but you have to ask to be see inside. The museum is attached to the senior center and down from the museum a few blocks is the train depot museum and a working train tracks. Down a few blocks is a public swimming pool and park. Up from the museum is the historic courthouse and clock along with are unique down town where you will find one of kind shops. Homemade chocolate shop and quilt shop just to name a few. This is a great place to visit from May to September. From the enactment of east meets west trains in May, to Peach Days festival in September.
