In Bakgarden, the city's creative corner, you will find Gallery Tone operated by Tone Nordhagen. She works with several different techniques and materials. Here you can see beautiful paintings in oil, acrylic and collage, watercolors, watercolor cards as well as pastel, pencil and charcoal drawings. Tone was born and raised in Oslo and has drawn since she was quite young. As an artist, she is keen to keep a personal expression and is not afraid to play with colors. In her work she is dedicated to color, energy, nature and the picturesque in the subject. She has an enthusiastic audience who order paintings which she paints from familiar places and portraits of people and animals. She also participates in other exhibitions. Bakgarden, where the gallery is located, has an unique atmosphere of tranquility, creativity and history. The Angel Gallery presents angels with simple lines. Standing, hanging, singing and floating. The technique is developed by Loius C. Tiffany, who used this method for making his famous mosaic lamps in the early 1900. The gallery can also offer other colourful decorations. Choose between butterflies, boats, fish, birds and the very special Istre-lanterns whitch are inspired by Istrehagan - an old stone-setting from the time of the great migrations. You can also see a changing sales-exhibition of ceramics made of different artists.
