We’re a family of winegrowers specialized in Millésime Brut Nature Sparkling Wines (zero dosage). We’re committed to capturing our Mediterranean landscapes in a bottle. That’s what drives us to cultivate only our own vineyards planted with indigenous varieties. We practise dry farming and apply the principles of biodynamic agriculture –a step beyond organic. Like sentinels waiting patiently in silence, Recaredo’s bottles remain in the darkness of our cellars for at least 30 months until they achieve a truly unique character. In the case of Recaredo’s most exclusive family wine cellars, some of our Sparkling Wines are aged for nearly 20 years, preserving a wealth of elegant and complex nuances. ROBERT PARKER- THE WINE ADVOCATE: “I’m not sure if there is any other sparkling wine producer in the world who works with such strict standards (...) There is a sense of energy and harmony in their wines that is impressive; they are all highly recommended.”
We chose the private visit and our amazing guide was Lluba. We are fairly experienced wine lovers who have done wine tours worldwide. Having said that the private tour is an amazing experience for people new to the cava experience, or biodynamic farming, as well as experienced oenophiles. Lluba was both a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide and her tour was excellent. We elected to have the tour in English. We were able to sample several reserve cavas, and the 2008 reserve was disgorged for us by one of the current owner / vintners, Josep Mata. We were also able to sample both still wines and reserve cavas with dried sausage and breads. Very enjoyable and enlightening experience overall. Pricey for a cava tasting but well worth it.

Parés Baltà is a family owned traditional winery that goes back to 1790. We are winemakers with a long tradition but with new and fresh ideas. The company is guided into a new era of high quality wine production under the management of Joan and Josep Cusiné and the inconditional help of their father Joan Cusiné Cusiné. We produce high quality wines and cavas with grapes from our 5 estates, situated around the winery and in the mountains of Penedès. The altitude varies from 170 to 750m and offers a diverse mixture of soils and microclimates. That gives a special personality to our wines by bringing the essence of the Mediterranean ecosystem to our grapes. At Parés Baltà, the winemaking is in the hands of Mª Elena Jiménez and Marta Casas, oenologists and wives of Joan and Josep. Two skilled young women whose efforts are reflected in the quality of the wines, showing fine character and concentration yet with elegance and balance.
Great visit! Great wines! Great people! A nice way to discover biodynamic ecologic wines in Penedès region.

There is so much to see in Barcelona - This shared, it is well worth taking an afternoon and getting out of the city for a wine and cava tasting with tapas at Pere Ventura! We met with Beth - the winemaker, and Rosa - for the Cava tasting and tour. An unbelievable afternoon touring the vineyards and the cellars! - a 45-minute drive outside of the city.

Discover the world of Cava by our hand, we specialize in aged cava. Since 1898. Visits, tastings and passion for cava. Family owned winery with a limited production operated by a father and a son.
We had a really nice visit and took the tour in Spanish as I’m practicing it. So, if you know a little about champagne and cava but your Spanish skills isn't that good, then I would strongly recommend taking the tour in Spanish as Guifré spoke clearly and slowly so that it was possible to understand everything. The tour itself was really nice and in gave a very good contrast to the big productions, here you really got a feeling of how much effort there is put into the production of cava and a lot of specific info regarding this very production it was a very thorough and personal experience. After the tour we were introduced to all the cava on the cart and went through them one by one, every one of them with a distinct tastes and purposes which went well in combination with the tapas plate that was served along with the glasses of cava. It was all in all a magnificent experience and I couldn't help myself to buy some of the different bottles. I will definitely come back to visit Sola Raventos once again for a second experience. Keep up the good work Guifré and Pere.

Local wines and olive oil all grown and made on location I learned from my guide Emma during my wine tasting tour. The grounds are beautiful and Carlos the owner is very conscientious and values "local" growing a wide range of different grapes on the premises including Chenin and Incrocio Manzoni whites. The tour was an eye opener and part of the newer enormous facilities were hidden and perfectly integrated into the landscape taking care to preserve and use the original structures. This is a "must see" tour! I enjoyed a generous sampling of their excellent wines and particularly loved their outstanding olive oil that is made on the premises and available to purchase as well as their many wine options.

The singular emplacement of his vineyards with strict processes of production, define the style of the wines and cavas Llopart: The essence of a land, the vineyards and a great ancient tradition. The wines and cavas LLOPART are elaborated in the “Heritage Can Llopart de Subirats”, one of the wine estates with the longer tradition where it shows us a document preserved for the family since 1385. "Ex-Vite Vita ", the life comes from the vine-stock, is the motto that has been accompanied for successive generations of the family Llopart. This dedication culminates with the production of the first cava Llopart in 1887 in the former farmhouse of the family. The careful culture of 95 hectares of own vineyards, placed in a mountain zone, the selection of the best clusters, the delicate handcrafted process in our warehouses formed nowadays by a warehouse of vinification of upbringing wine, and a modern and integrated wine-cellar in the center of the Heritage, where it is possible to contemplate the privileged panoramic views of Penedés, guarantee the extraordinary quality of the wines and cavas Llopart.
I booked the Leopardi Tour for my wife and four friends. From start to finish, the communication was quick and helpful. Not only did Dalma give me the information needed to get to Sadurni via train, they also called me the morning of to make sure we were set. Roger, the sommelier at Llopart, greeted us with a big smile and would be our guide for the afternoon. His knowledge on wine and the history of cava was impressive, and his passion for wine showed throughout the day. The breakfast was fantastic (best bread we’ve ever eaten), and the meats and cheeses were fresh and delicious. Roger walked us through a tasting of their white still wine and one of the sparklings. After breakfast we moved on to the cellar to see how the grapes are bottled and aged. There was a quick 5 minute video showing how Llopart harvests the grapes each season by hand. We then found a beautiful set up of our next tasting in the cellar. Lastly, we ended with our last tasting in the library vault where the owners keep their most prized bottles. It was a really cool room with such amazing history of cavas. My wife and I have been on wine tours in Champagne, Greece, and California, and this was hands down the best experience we’ve been on. I’d recommend it to any person thinking about a day trip from Barcelona.

The tour by Mr. Martin was very thorough. He takes a lot of pride in showing you how wine is made and can answer every question. We bought several white and red wines and are looking forward to bringing them back to the US.
