Really enjoyed this tour. We were picked up from our hotel in Parma, then went out to a small cheese factory where we watched the daily cheese production. The whole "recipe" for the cheese was explained and we did some tasting to finish off. Really enjoyable, only a small group of us.

We took a tour in Bologna the week of August 25th with Secret Food Tours Bologna. Our tour guide was Isadora. We arrived and found confusion about our reservation. Isadora was the consumate professional and went the extra mile to resolve the problem. Not only was she a great problem solver but also a great tour guide. We highly recommend this tour and Isadora. I took this tour last year with a friend and enjoyed in so much that I rebooked for my husband this year and 2 more times to take friends who are coming into town in September and October. Take the tour. It will not disappoint.

On the morning of our Food Tastings Tour with Francesca it was raining heavily. Happily, the tour started in the market where the local vendors had thoughtfully set up tent-shelters, and the rain did nothing to dampen our experience. Francesca didn't let a little rain ruin the fun! My husband and I are not foodies, and Francesca was happy to help us enjoy the delights of Italian foods despite being novices. We happily enjoyed several Italian 'comfort foods' which were extra tasty in the chill of a rainy day! Thanks, Francesca.

This tour was incredibly enjoyable, fascinating, and educational. How often can you learn about something new, that you will remember every time you shop for Italian food, and have a beautiful and enjoyable day with interesting people. Our tour guide, Arianna, was smart, beautiful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The other people on the tour, from Norway, were just as much fun. We developed an appreciation for Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, prosciutto and balsamic vinegar, met some wonderful Italian people, saw beautiful countryside, tasted excellent wine and had a fantastic meal overlooking a valley at the end of the day. It may be the most memorable tour I have ever taken in years of travel. I recommend it most highly. It was actually in May, 2019, but that date was not one of the options I could chose in this review.
