Jose was a really great tour guide- from beginning to end. He customised our itinerary to ensure we visited all the places important to us, and still added in a few quick stops along the way which were surprisingly beautiful and well worth detours (especially the most western point in Europe). Loved it and thought Maria our tour guide was superb!!! Well worth the money and time of this trip. We felt totally safe in her care!! Maria was entertaining, fun and extremely informative. She went out of her way to recommend local sites, cuisine and places to go, The trip was a fabulous mix and gave us a real on-site into the local area. As we are looking to eventually move to Portugal this trip really cemented that decision!!

We spend a long afternoon and evening with Filipe and it was wonderful. I highly recommend him. We visited Sintra and the amazing Perla Palace , the Quinta Regaleira and had the lovely pastry specialty of Sintra. Filipe is a very pleasant charming person to be with, he is very knowledgeable about, the area, the sites, the history and so much more. Time flies with him. We ended the evening in a great fish and seafood restaurant hanging on the side of a cliff Azenhas do Mar. If you are in Lisbon take one of his tours and enjoy.

My girlfriend and I decided to go for this tour/experience around Lisbon to enjoy our last day in Portugal. No Regrets. We really had an amazing time, from Cascais to Sintra, going through landmarks such as Cabo do Roca (most western point of Continental Europe) to the Peña Palace, discovering wonderful sights and with the lead of our Guide exploring secret areas, with less tourist and more natural experiences. It was a pleasure to discover the region with a local, which has a passion for the place he grew up in. I would recommend it over and over. Particular thanks to Ruben.

My wife and I booked a tour to Sintra with Vasco. He picked us up at our hotel and explained the history of Lisbon and Sintra along the way. Vasco was very flexible with what we wanted to see and even took us to LX factory and TimeOut food hall were we had lunch and beers. I would highly recommend the guys at Your Local Tours and would definitely book them again next time we visit Lisbon especially since I’ve read that the wine tour is top-notch.

Marta is really a nice host and she shure does know about wines! Tasted local Colares wine, Porto wines and all of those with some fine bites to eat. I recommend if you want a true local experience away from the touristic places.

We really recommend Antonio to everyone. He is a lovely man who is not only kind and respectfull but he’s very funny aswell. He knows what he’s talking about and he tells his stories with a lot of passion, which is a big bonus when you want a tour. You can tell that he has a lot of love for his city and country. He takes good care of it and tries to remember others to also take care of the place (f.e. asking someone to not throw a cigarette on the road, etc.) We were with 6 of us so it’s great that he has different cars because we were a big group. He taught us a lot about his hometown, Cascais, the history behind certain places and Sintra. He gave us tips and tricks that we took with us throughout the day. What we also loved is that he was on time to pick us up and he was thoughtful and kind and he brought some water and fruit with him. We had a 4-hour tour where we saw different places, the mountains, the sea. All in all, a day to remember. We all thank you for spending the day with us.

This is a late review, but necessary. We thoroughly enjoyed our private day tour with Sintra Magik in Fatima. The Shrine of course was incredible. The visit to the family home and meeting their descendants were equally touching. We sampled the local cuisine and appreciated the hospitality. Our tour of the religious factory allowed us to return with artifacts for our family. We were so fortunate to have a delightful Irish priest bless these keepsakes. An awesome, memorable day. We highly, highly recommend this tour group.
