The Sabaragamuwa Province, (Sinhalese: සබරගමුව පළාත Sabaragamuwa Palata, Tamil: சபரகமுவ மாகாணம் Sabaragamuwa Maakaanam) is one of the nine provinces of Sri Lanka, the first level administrative division of the country. The provinces have existed since the 19th century but did not have any legal status until 1987 when the 13th Amendment to the Constitution of Sri Lanka established provincial councils. The Sabaragamuwa Province contains two districts: Ratnapura and Kegalle. It is named after its former indigenous inhabitants, namely the Sabara, an indic term for hunter-gatherer tribes, a term seldom used in ancient Sri Lanka. Sabaragamuwa University is in Belihuloya.

This water fall is also identified as one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Sri Lanka. Since the shape of the cascade is similar to a 'Bo' leave (Ficus Religiosa), the fall has given its name. It is formed with Kuruganga River originated from Samanala Kanda (Adam's peak) range of mountains. Since the annual rain fall received by the catchments area of the fall is more than 5000mm, the average flow of the fall is not less than 6 cubic meters per second.
This is a very nice and very famous waterfall & 30m tall. This is in Kuruwita, 2.5hrs (around 75km) away from Colombo, from Kuruwita turn to Higgashena - Devipahala rd. Location is there in the google map and can easily follow that. Vehicles have to park at the car park and walk up to the waterfall view point. If someone wants to go to the bottom of the waterfall have to cross the water stream and find your way through the rocks. Not hard but get the advice from the ticketing counter before you cross the do that. During the rainy season water levels can go up and rocks can be slippery. Time you spend here is subjected to what you want do here, just seeing the fall from the view point, want to go closer to the fall, taking professional pics, having a bath or having a picnic....... There are so many food stalls and hotels nearby ... But due to corvid, now many have closed down.
