Reichenbach Falls

This 656-foot waterfall is best known for its fictional significance as the place of Sherlock Holmes's death.

A small funicular railway brings you up to a waterfall, the view there is just amazing! A small and easy hiking trail allows you to see the waterfall and the beautiful surrounding landscape from different points of view. Fully recommended!

Lauterbrunnen Valley Waterfalls

Reviewed By erikapst72 - Jacksonville, United States

Swiss Alps are breathtaking, all worth it...ready for my next adventure. The Alpine region of Switzerland, conventionally referred to as the Swiss Alps, represents a major natural feature of the country and is, along with the Swiss Plateau and the Swiss portion of the Jura Mountains, one of its three main physiographic regions

Taubenlochschlucht

The Taubenloch is one of the most popular hikes in the region – perhaps because of its romantic surrounding, the pleasantly cool temperatures, or the easy access that allows families to discover the gorge. But one thing is for sure: a stroll through the mysterious Taubenloch gorge is magical.

Really beautiful place! I got there by public transport: took the bus to the bus stop Taubenloch. After getting off, be careful, do not follow Google maps instructions as they are completely wrong and will tell you to go uphill. What you need to do is to look out for a house with a sign "Eingang zum Taubenschlucht" it is a bit hidden. There are stairs there and then it begins. You will just follow the path along the water. Very beautiful for pictures. Not difficult, just take good shoes. Very fast.

Staubbach Waterfall

This is a rewarding and easy short hike with neat "behind the falls" access and gorgeous valley views. Do not miss it -- do this if you have an hour or so and weather up in the mountains is lousy for hikes.

Trummelbach Falls

Reviewed By Perthyte - Perth, Australia

The mighty Trummelbach Falls are cased inside the Lauterbrunnen valley wall and for a small fee, you can take a lift and walk higher up the falls to witness it gush, twist and turn all the way down to the valley floor. Amazing in any weather. It can get cool and wet inside, so be prepared with proper clothing.

Amazing location, on the lake Brienz (I recommend to get there via boat), with a small funicular railway that brings to a hotel. The landscape is beautiful, and there are many hiking trails to do. The waterfall is just amazing and you can watch it from different points of view.

Lauterbrunnen Village

Reviewed By isabellalevi - London, United Kingdom

Lauterbrunnen village is in the valley which separates Wengen (and the Mannlichen) from Murren (and Birg/the Shilthorn). It's beautiful and has loads of cute shops and restaurants, and the train station regularly serves Wengen, Kleine Shiedegg and Jungfraujoch), as well as Interlaken, connections on to Grindelwald and beyond. The Trummelbach Falls are accessible via the regular buses (which depart from outside the station).
