If you are looking for an active place to stay with world-class attractions, Ohio’s major cities can satisfy any vacation desire. Each offers its own distinct flavor of fun, from professional sports – Bengals (Cincinnati), Cavaliers (Cleveland) and Indians (Cleveland again) – to museums, outdoor activities and more. One of the most famous is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. If football is your thing, don’t miss the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. For the science-minded, visit the meat eaters at the Carnivore Conservation Center in the Wilds near Cambridge, dedicated to the breeding and scientific study of endangered mid-sized carnivores. Kids will also love Planet Snoopy in Sandusky or the Columbus Zoo’s Zoombezi Bay Waterpark and Jack’s Landing rides.

What a great treat this unique display is for the holidays! This was our first visit but won't be our last!! This is well organized and thoughtfully laid out display of 150+ life-size nutcrackers that are setup along downtown and mainly at Ft. Steuben. Unbelievable craftsmanship and creativity. It's really cool to see at night. Only downside for us was that the fort itself was open for a tour. Well worth our two hour drive.

My family visited during spring break. We were looking for something fun, different and inside because it was so cold out, that could entertain a 16, 13, and 8 year old. This place did! It was crazy busy when we got there with a long line to get in but once we were inside we really never had to wait for each activity. We ended up getting the thrill passes which included the haunted house, 6D movie, 3D glow mini golf and skating and adding on the escape room and laser maze. Our total bill for everything for 5 people was just over $200. We ended up being there for 3 hours and then ran out of time, they were closing. When I called ahead I was told for all of that minus skating to plan on spending about 2-2 1/2 hours so they were a little off on time which threw off my plans a little but that's ok, we had a blast! Four of us didn't get to do the laser maze and we ended up not having time to skate but that ok because the skating was just sort of a bonus of buying the thrill pass. The haunted house and movie were our favorites followed by the mini golf. I think if we ever to do it again we'd pass on the escape room, it was a little difficult and not really worth the cost in our opinion. Kudos to the scarer in the haunted house, he was able to get all of us at various points throughout the haunted house and we really enjoyed it! It was scary but not so bad that my 8 year old couldn't handle it. All in all we all had a great time and this place held up to our expectations!

Wake Nation is your ultimate Summer playground! Fly off our giant superslide, play on our huge floating playground (aka aqua park), try cable wakeboarding or kneeboarding, play one of our free games, or just sit in the shade and sip a beverage by one of the lakes. For those wanting to learn, check out our lessons and Summer camps. Need to host an event or party? Look no further. Wake Nation is the place to be. Stop by and see what the buzz is all about!
A great place to learn to wakeboard an hangout with friends! If you’ve ever thought of trying to learn to wakeboard this is the place! I suggest doing a lesson to learn the basics before you get out on the main cable! This is the best way to learn!

The largest theme and water park in the U.S. Midwest offers more than 40 thrill rides including riding a tornado on "Delirium" and taking a white-knuckle ride on a runaway train.
This was my first time to Kings Island in well over a decade (Son of Beast was still there - loop intact), and my friend's first time ever. My goal this trip was to finally get a night ride on The Beast. It did not disappoint, though my older body was not as thrilled. It is a rough ride, no doubt. That aside, this is a really good park. Their Planet Snoopy area is touted as one of the best kid areas in any amusement park worldwide. They have a good collection of roller coasters - my favorites being The Beast, a wooden roller coaster that races off into the woods (still holds the record as the world's longest wooden roller coaster), Banshee, their new B&M inverted roller coaster, and Mystic Timbers, their newest coaster (as of 2019) which is a GCI wooden twister coaster. My only real complaint with Kings Island was the food. Many of the Cedar Fair parks have really upped their food game over the past few years - almost making the exorbitant prices worth it. For me, it feels like Kings Island is still a bit lacking in this area. The Miami River Brewhouse is pretty good, but it is just salad, burgers, and sandwiches for the most part. Granted, better than typical amusement park fare, but... not exactly "WOW" worthy. Even my small home park, Valleyfair, has started selling gourmet hot dogs from a local butcher, topped with exotic items like Kimchi, or lobster mac & cheese. They have roasted corn elote, Shrimp Po'Boys, Caribbean BBQ, etc. Kings Island needs to step it up.

This park features the world's largest recirculating swimming pool, along with water slides.
I love drive through light displays during the holidays, it's an absolute must! This was definitely one of the best drive through light display experiences I've ever had. Definitely arrive at dusk or a little before, especially if you are visiting on the weekend. The traffic loops pretty seamlessly through the park parking lot. We visited on the Saturday after Thanksgiving so it was pretty busy. We waiting snaked through the line for about 45 minutes and then it took about 45 minutes to go through it. May want to use the restroom before you arrive! They do have portable restrooms at the very end. So... back to the lights! Oh my garland!!! The ENTIRE park is synchronized to the music and during the entire time we drove through it, there weren't any repeated songs. It's about 2 miles long, there is a sign at the entrance letting you know what radio station to turn to. The first half is neat, the second half is AMAZING!!! Everywhere you look lights are bursting in display to the music. They even have some displays where characters are digitally signing to the music. They have a few arches you drive under, these are always my favorite. For just $6 per person this truly is amazing, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
